JOEL SOTO

Joel David Soto is one of Generation Z’s contributors to music. While there is still ample time to hone his talents, Joel began earlier than most, beginning with piano lessons at the age of 4. The secret to teaching the 4-year-old boy full of energy, according to his piano instructor to let him run around for 30 minutes, then practice for 30 minutes, as he got older time adjusted until 60 min of piano was the norm!

7yrs of classical piano taught Joel much he then sought to express himself through a different instrument. Joel’s father, who has only a basic understanding of the guitar, had tried to introduce this instrument previously. Joel is left-handed, his father is right-handed, and his dad did not have the tools to bridge that difference. Joel remained uninterested until the age of 11. Thinking the radio was left on, Joel's parents went to his room and found him playing the right-handed guitar upside down! A trip to Chris’s Guitar shop found Joel with a converted for left-handed player Squire electric guitar and a small amp. Joel has been working to develop his technique with passion fueled by those around him in school and fellow performers.
